Yankees In Hot Pursuit Of Kyle Tucker
The Yankees are “actively pursuing” a trade for Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker, per the New York Post. The Cubs and Giants are reportedly in the mix as well, putting pressure on New York to craft a strong package.
Houston is said to be looking for major league-ready corner infield help and starting pitching in return. According to the report, names like Luis Gil and Ben Rice might be of particular interest to the Astros as they seek ready-now talent. Tucker, slated for free agency after the upcoming season, is a prized target thanks to his on-field production and the likelihood of a hefty future payday.
This move would be a bold statement from the Yankees’ front office, signaling they’re all-in on upgrading their outfield. Tucker’s not just a rental—he’s a potential game-changer in the heart of the lineup. Now let’s see if the Yankees are willing to part with the kind of talent Houston’s demanding.
